Inspired while in art school by the large scale paintings of the abstract expressionists like Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, and Mark Rothko, I began my career as an artist painting large abstract oil paintings. Most of these paintings have been sold to various home collectors in WA and OR. Although I no longer work in oils, I like to think that my love affair with color and form is present in my realistic work today.
