This collection of native and exotic birds wearing space helmets reflects my fascination with the unique shapes found in living creatures and the broader scientific world. There are two rabbits wearing space helmets at the end of the series. While not birds, these rabbits were commissioned and it felt like they belonged in this collection. Each "spacebird" is painted in gouache on hot press Arches watercolor paper and measure (unframed) at 8"x"8".
